'Hi Charlie, thanks for a great read!
I found it an easy book to read and follow; well written with a great sense of humour.I was transported into it as if I was there with you, specially to places I already know I could picture myself there.
I love reading about factual events and particularly enjoyed your personalised diary. The tips are very helpful.

Can't wait for the next one!' Anita Anderson

'This book is enjoyable and entertaining whilst still offering lots of tips and advise. It gives an insight into the wedding scene.
Nothing wrong with the country church in June, but this book opens your mind to the fact we are all individual with different tastes.Whilst Las Vegas may not be for you there is often that special place.
From the small intimate wedding in Las Vegas to the family occasion in Brighton I feel Charlie has got the balance right,so go on be inventive and motivated and make your day extra special!'

'Charlie Plunkett's book is a must read for any bride to be. Whilst entertaining the reader with the funny stories of her and Dave's adventures on the lead up to the 'weddings'...Yes they had 2 to organise! she also provides many useful tips and ideas for your own special day. This light hearted journey of the book is a refreshing change from other wedding planning books and helps by taking the stress away from what can seemingly be the most daunting task most of us girls will undertake. I would definitely recommend this book to any future brides.'

'I love real life stories and came across this one in Waterstones and bought it for a friend who is getting married next month. She's really stressed out about it so I thought this book might do her some good. I was so glad I did! Charlie had two weddings and a blessing to organise, and her story makes what must have been really stressful seem almost like fun. My friend was really happy to find she's not alone when it comes to wedding stress, and she's even followed up some of the tips. I liked the fact that this is clearly a true story from a real person, not someone with thousands of pounds or a trust fund waiting to pay for everything. This book isn't just for brides to be, it's a very funny book anyway - I'd recommend it to everyone.' Tracy Guiry

I bought the book for a friend who is going to get married but I thought I have a little sneaky read before I actually give it to her. next thing I know I was half way threw the book and it was not suitable as a present anymore!Charlie's and Dave's story really touched me and made me realise that there is still some romance out there. The book is very entertaining with a good sense of humour and has loads of good tips. I ended up reading the whole book and buying another copy to give to my friend. She loves it and finds it very useful for her wedding arrangements! my friend is looking to start a family soon after her wedding. I know already what present to get her: "the true diary of a mum to be" maybe I should buy straight away 2 copies -one for me and one for her!;-) Judith Muller

'What a find! I just loved this book, I couldn't wait to get into bed every night and read the next installment. I don't think it was necessarily meant to be funny, but the antics of Charlie and Dave were, on occasions, simply hillarious, such as when they ended up at a nudist camp, I had to laugh out loud - I don't think I would have been nearly as brave, but I think we would all have more fun if we literally took a leaf out of her book. The reason I bought this book is because I am already married, but didn't do all the typical 'bridey' things in the run up, so when I came accross it I thought it would be interesting and amusing to see how I should've gone about organising my wedding.
Charlie is truly inspiring, I want to get married all over again and do all the things I thought at the time were not important or a waste of money, as it all sounded so exciting and romantic, and I would definitely follow her tips and reminders - she was so organised.
Every bride-to-be needs a copy of this book in her handbag, whether she is going to use it as her wedding bible stuffed full of post it notes, a quick reference book or a light read, I'm sure you will find yourself sneakily taking in some ideas and reminders whilst prentending they are your own when your guests ask you how you came up with such a fabulous ideas, and made your day so beautiful.
This book has made me want to renew my vows so I can have another go with all the trimmings, Charlie and Dave's romanticism is so infectious. Louise Bowd
